The Club were very successful at the National Finals held at the Mimosa, Famagusta and Paralimni Bowls Club, Protaras over the weekend of 4th & 5th October.
Kevin Males, MF&P, retained the Mixed 2 wood singles title beating Bob Smith of Kiti 21-7. In the Semi-Finals Kevin beat Brian Hill of Kama 21-10 and Bob Smith beat Alice Catherall of Shogun 21-15.
Ann Males, MF&P, retained her lady’s 4 wood singles title for the 4th year running. In her Semi-Final she beat Maria Milligan of Shogun 21-13 and in the Final she beat Maureen Hoye of Kama 21-11 who had beaten Val Cole of Kiti 21-8 in the Semi-Final.
The men's 4 wood singles was won by Brian Souter, MF&P, who beat Graham Mattox of Shogun 21-16 in the final. In the Semi-Finals Brian beat Barry Cole of Kiti 21-9 whilst Graham had a walkover over Bob Berriman of Kama who unfortunately was not well enough to play.
The Club Triples team of Skip Kevin Males, Bob Rigby & Ann Males retained their title by beating Roy Staples and Julie and Andy Dumbarton of Kama 12-10. In the Semi-Finals MF&P beat John Wells, Sheila Smith and Val Cole of Kiti 16-6 and Kama beat Alice Catherall, Rev Badger and Derek Smith of Shogun 13-6.
The Mixed Pairs was won by Maria and Peter Milligan of Shogun who beat Maureen and Phil Hoye of Kama 12-8 in the final. In the Semi-Finals Shogun beat Helen Oliver and Bob Smith of Kiti 11-6 and Kama beat Sylvia Josling and Tony Taylor of MF&P by 10-8.
The Mixed Fours winners were Julie and Andy Dumbarton, Brian Hill and Roy Staples of Kama who beat Carol and Gerry Edmands and Jan and Bob Rigby of MF&P 13-8 in the Final. In the Semi Finals Kama beat J Dykes, Linda Formy, Janet Bennet and Dick Bridgeman of Kiti 18-7 and MF&P beat Malcolm Hughes, Alice Catherall, Rev Badger and Dave Richards of Shogun 13-6.
